We are in the process of expanding our team in Guadalajara to provide a better service to the global data engineering community that we provide services to.

You will be a DataOps Engineer – part of the Process & Transform team that is responsible for the daily operation and administration of data movement and transformation services provided by the Process & Transform team.  We need someone that can support the technologies we operate from a technical perspective but also provide best practice and guidance to the Data Engineers that utilise the platforms – all whilst looking for opportunities to streamline our platform operations and make our services more reliable and robust.

Requirements

  • Passion for data and technology with a commitment to career and skill development.

  • Experience in operating and maintaining technology platforms, either on-premises or in the Cloud.

  • Proven experience in providing end-user support.

  • Strong understanding of data engineering principles.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering automation and process improvements.

  • Proven delivery experience across critical elements of the data & analytics domain.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to delivery.

  • Experience with ETL and Cloud technologies (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Qlik Replicate, Fivetran, dbt Cloud; AWS services like S3, SQS, SNS, Redshift, Postgres, Aurora, MySQL, EMR).

  • Familiarity with data engineering principles and methodologies: SDLC, CI/CD, Agile, Lean.

  • Experience with common technologies such as Airflow and Git; development experience with Python, Java, Groovy.

Desirable

  • Experience in creating and managing data warehouses and marts (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redshift, Snowflake).

  • Experience with real-time system monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, ELK stack, CloudWatch).

  • Familiarity with APIs and data modeling techniques (e.g., 3NF and star schema).

When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we ignite ambitious thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines. In-person working give us the platform we need to connect, work at pace and challenge perceptions. That’s why we work, on average, a minimum of three days per week from the office. But that doesn’t mean we’re not flexible. We balance the expectation of being in the office while respecting individual flexibility. Join us in our outstanding and bold world.
