Job Title: Senior Manager - Medical Information and Communication
Work Location: Bangalore, India
Work Schedule: Three days on-site, two days remote (3/2)

Introduction to role

As the Senior Manager – Medical Information & Communication, you will be responsible for an internal Medical Information and Communication team along with external vendor team members, ensuring effective communication with relevant stakeholders. You will work closely with the Biopharmaceutical Medical (BPM) MI&C team and will be the GCO Single Point of Contact, accountable for our GCO MI&C service delivery. This role involves direct line management responsibilities, delivering MI&C services, and driving operational excellence.


Accountabilities

  • Lead the delivery of the service including governance, operations, and reporting

  • Coach and mentor the team including training, goal setting, and performance management, driving a high-performing delivery team

  • Partner with BPM MI&C leadership to optimize resourcing, including recruitment and maintenance of business continuity

  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies


Crucial Skills/Experience

  • Advanced degree in health sciences required; Doctorate degree preferred

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry in Medical Information and Communication roles leading MI&C delivery operations

  • Minimum of five (5) years leading and developing people/scientific team in positions related to medical information & communications services

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of hands-on medical content creation experience

  • Ability to collaborate, influence, and lead with executive presence establishing strategic direction, drive execution, build compelling communications and provide a global perspective

  • Confirmed ability to collaborate cross-functionally to enable successful execution and deliver results in a deadline-driven environment while balancing multiple priorities


Desirable Skills/Experience

  • Clinical expertise and proven experience in the disease areas represented within the AZ BPM business is strongly preferred

  • Experience in working in highly matrixed organizations in a large pharmaceutical company setting desirable
