As a Supply Chain Manager in Wilmington, DE, you will ensure product supply and operational support for AstraZeneca’s US commercial organization. You will align operations with brand strategies, oversee the end-to-end supply chain, and be the primary contact for supply chain matters in the region. This role also involves representing the US market on global supply teams and advocating for changes that support our commercial strategies.
Accountabilities
Be the primary link into the Marketing Company (MC), aligning the MC with Operations strategy and ensuring the effective flow of MC communications back into Operations and vice versa
Deploy a long-term supply strategy, aligned to the overall business strategy, in collaboration with commercial and global supply colleagues
Ensure successful delivery of these strategies through establishment & close tracking with timely and effective remediation of any deviations or necessary adjustments to plan
Provide business insights, proactively interacting with Commercial and Finance to balance demand and supply plans and build supply solutions to help achieve AZ’s strong ambition
Lead and further improve the Integrated Business Planning(IBP) process to meet shared business objectives and build towards outstanding demand forecasting
Ensure market intelligence is detailed clearly and is also accountable for forecast validation and forecast challenging, customer service level targets, and MC collaboration related to supply issue management/product availability
Lead the use of models, reports, and forecasts to challenge and strengthen decision-making processes
Responsible for supporting the planning process including supply chain parameter setting, master data quality, and governance, arbitration/allocation setting, business continuity plans, and new product launch planning
Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Sciences, Engineering, or related fields
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain or customer service
Experience with Senior strategic supply leadership, influencing, decision making, interpersonal and change management skills
Ability to drive cross-functional Operations delivery of solutions to meet customers’ evolving needs
Strong, broad understanding of global enterprise and the ability to develop and influence strategies across complex organizations
Ability to prioritize and set performance targets and project initiatives in a global and regional environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal leadership skills
Ability to influence strategically and persuade thoughtfully to obtain desired outcomes while maintaining effective, positive, interpersonal, and organizational relationships
Experience and a strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain experience.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Master's Degree and/or APICS CSCP
Strong understanding of Pharmaceutical and Lean production supply chain principles, FDA, GMPs.
Experience operating in a process-centric environment
Fast-moving Consumer Goods or pharma experience
