Role Summary
As a Marketing Manager, Rare Disease, you will be reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager and will work with a diverse and energetic team of marketers, cross-functional partners, and skilled field team, to move the business forward and help improve the lives of Canadians living with rare diseases.
Through genuine curiosity, problem solving, and collaboration, you will ensure the development and effective implementation of brand tactics and strategies to positively impact the value the brand delivers to patients, healthcare providers, and Alexion.
Your responsibilities include:
-Build, lead, and complete customer marketing activities to optimize diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with PNH and aHUS. Demonstrate a growth mindset, embrace a breadth of responsibilities, and leverage the power of AI to increase efficiency and impact.
-Work effectively and dynamically with marketing, Regional Account Managers (RAMs), and other cross-functional teams to ensure executional excellence, capture new insights, and find solutions to difficult problems.
-Build partnerships and mutual trust with the RAM Team, to create alignment across teams and build a motivating team culture that encourages continued growth.
-Working within the cross-functional team to contribute to a positive team environment and fully adopt a ‘speak-up culture’ where diversity of thought is critical for our shared success.
-Support in national sales meeting development, workshop execution, and enhancing RAM skills in communicating with confidence and credibility the brand value story in aHUS and PNH
-Ensure the perspectives of others are fully heard and understood when collaborating with internal teams and external customers during development and implementation of marketing activities.
-Be comfortable working through ambiguity with an openness to exploring new ideas, while also completing critical tasks based on priority.
-Positively influencing brand performance and profitability while controlling promotional expenses.
Your qualifications include:
-Minimum of 5 years of successful pharmaceutical experience.
-University degree
-Strong strategic analysis/planning skills.
-Strong executional excellence of projects/activities
-Successful history of positive team collaborations, with demonstrated ability to understand the perspective of others.
-Stellar written and oral communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas to various audiences
-Demonstrated ability to react timely to change and remain agile to a changing environment.
-Previous experience in marketing, professional education/CHE or capability development a definite asset.

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 115,084.00 to 151,047.75.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
