Associate Director Product Management

As Associate Director, Product Management for Consent and Preference Management and Data Privacy, you will serve as the business Product Owner for platforms that collect, store and manage patient privacy consent, cookie consent and communication preferences across our digital ecosystem. Based in Mississauga, you will connect patient services and marketing goals with legal, privacy and technical rigor to deliver compliant, scalable experiences that enable timely enrollments and meaningful outreach.

In this role, you will define and execute the strategy, roadmap and delivery for platforms such as OneTrust and Salesforce LifeScience Cloud Consent Module, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with our identity, CRM and data platforms. You will drive an agile team, translate evolving requirements into clear, prioritized backlogs, and continuously measure impact to accelerate launches while safeguarding patient privacy.
Accountabilities:
Product Vision and Roadmap: Own the end-to-end strategy for global consent and preference center capabilities and their integrations across our digital landscape, aligning to business outcomes.
Compliance by Design: Embed evolving data privacy regulations, information security standards and internal quality policies into product design, ensuring auditability and trust.
Scalable Solution Design: Architect efficient, extensible solutions that anticipate future therapy needs and regulatory changes while meeting current operational requirements.
Stakeholder Alignment: Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Data Governance, Privacy, Architecture, Marketing, Patient Services and IT (including Service and Delivery) to refine requirements, coordinate testing and plan rollouts.
Backlog Management and Story Crafting: Translate legal and business needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria; prioritize the backlog for value, impact and risk mitigation; break epics into actionable features.
Agile Delivery Leadership: Lead sprint planning and refinement; communicate goals and roadmaps; represent business needs throughout delivery; remove impediments and set expectations on scope and timelines.
UAT and Release Readiness: Lead UAT planning and execution; validate outcomes against requirements; own release readiness decisions, including risk and impact assessments and rollout plans.
Collaboration with IT: Partner with engineering and platform teams to design, deliver and enhance integrations, APIs and data flows across CRM and identity ecosystems.
Performance and Value Measurement: Define, track and report product performance and success metrics; use insights to guide iterative improvements and demonstrate business value.
Mentorship and Product Culture: Coach junior product team members and champion product thinking, customer empathy and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills/Experience:
BA/BS degree and relevant experience in pharmaceuticals/biotech
6+ years of successful experience with Salesforce.com projects and data integrations
Familiarity with global data privacy frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR), US State (CCPA, VCDPA etc.) and compliance requirements and data collection workflows
Proven track record as a Product Owner managing enterprise software, identity platforms, or Consent Management Platforms like OneTrust/ Salesforce LifeScience Cloud Consent Module is a must.
Understanding of APIs, scripting languages, cloud platforms and modern data/CRM architectures.
In-depth knowledge of Agile product development and backlog management
Proven ability to translate customer needs into clear, actionable features and user stories in the appropriate format
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
Experience balancing competing priorities to deliver business value
Familiarity with product metrics and value measurement
The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. Experience working as a Product Owner/Product Manager in Rare Disease Patient Services
Agile Product Manager/Product Owner certified
Knowledge of Salesforce Healthcloud and/or Salesforce LifeScience cloud and Salesforce DataCloud is a plus

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 138,258.40 to 181,464.15.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).
