About the role
The Regional Medical Advisor for Pipeline is part of Alexion’s Global APAC team. As a field-based scientific resource you will be responsible for the external scientific engagement strategy for designated programs across several therapeutic areas.  You will work in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders on designated trials, as well as collaborate on the cross-program scientific engagement needs for the therapy areas.  

The Regional Medical Advisor for Pipeline will have key responsibility to establish and maintain relationships with a network of Key external experts to own the strategy for early external scientific engagement. You will work to identify collaboration opportunities and ensure to collect actionable insights in new fields of engagement. As Regional Medical Advisor for Pipeline you will advise Alexion´s clinical development strategy and trial execution. You will collaborate with an internal team to support clinical trial activities including early insight collection, guiding feasibility and enhancing trial recruitment & retention.

Essential for the role

  • MD, PharmD, or PhD in natural sciences or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of combined experience in Medical Affairs and Clinical Operations and Clinical Development
  • Experience and skills in experts engagement and leading Advisory Boards
  • Previous experience in rare diseases is of advantage / Previous experience working with Asian countries is a plus
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50 % of time)
  • Excellent communication, project management and leadership skills
