Thesis work, 30 credits - Preclinical Pharmacokinetics and Translation in Obesity Population

We are offering a unique chance to explore how obesity affects drug absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion (ADME) in preclinical settings. This project will enhance the translation of findings to clinical applications through cutting-edge pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation.

Thesis work description:  

Join us on an exciting research journey to explore how obesity influences pharmacokinetics and the translational applications in drug development. This master thesis project aims to fill a critical research gap regarding the effects of obesity and its associated comorbidities on the Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, and Excretion (ADME) processes. Understanding these effects is crucial for improving the translation of findings from preclinical models to clinical applications. 

Key Objectives:

  • Investigate the impact of obesity on pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of various drug modalities. 
  • Enhance the understanding of obesity-related modulation of ADME processes. 
  • Utilize pharmacokinetic modeling and simulation to analyze both external and in-house data. 

Structure: 

  • Duration: Fall term 2025 
  • Credits: 30 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Enrolled in a master's program within Pharmacy/Biotechnology/Mathematics or another relevant field
