Senior Director, Precision Medicine Marketing

As the Senior Director of US Precision Medicine Marketing, you'll spearhead our US Precision Medicine Strategy, collaborating closely with the field Precision Medicine team to drive impactful pull-through efforts. This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team primarily based at HQ, where your strategic vision will shape the future of precision medicine in oncology.
Accountabilities:
- Be a key stakeholder in assessing, decision-making, and implementing external partnerships with diagnostics companies.
- Develop and execute the US precision medicine/diagnostics strategy and tactics to support patient identification/treatment eligibility for multiple solid tumors, samples, and tests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional US Brand teams and Global Diagnostic teams, as well as Precision Medicine and Genomics partners, to align strategies, tactics, and lifecycle planning.
- Support in-market precision medicine/diagnostics excellence for product launches, including market readiness planning.
- Recruit, develop, and lead the Precision Medicine marketing team responsible for precision medicine in US Oncology.
- Assess and identify issues and develop tactical options to remove/minimize barriers to testing through collaborative partnerships with diagnostic companies, lab networks, and health systems.
- Engage with precision medicine professional societies to understand the broader Oncology landscape and act on opportunities and challenges through partnerships.
- Manage and lead team activities across multiple product launches and measure impact through non-sales qualitative and quantitative performance measures.
- Work closely with the Oncology Training and Development/PMs’ trainers to align and develop team’s knowledge, skills, and capabilities.
- Manage budget and promote effective utilization of resources.
- Adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 10+ years of Commercial pharma experience
- 10+ years Confirmed proficiency in marketing across multiple channels
- Prior experience leading teams
- Requires approximately 5-10% domestic and possible international travel.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree in business, life sciences, medical, or pharmacy
- Ability to lead and influence through change; make decisions in ambiguity
- Ability to engage, motivate, and lead cross-functional teams; strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Launch experience of oncology diagnostics, anatomical or molecular diagnostic products and/or therapeutic marketing
- Understanding of clinical laboratory testing which includes test sample journey, diagnostic technologies, and potential technical issues
- Anticipates obstacles and provides solutions to resolve in a timely manner
- Proven experience with a broad base of external customers including patients, payors, HCPs (specifically pathologists)
- Proven track record of developing compelling business cases
- Strong leadership attributes to set direction, generate commitment, balance short and long-term needs, constructively resolve issues
- Proven demonstration of effective cross-functional project team leadership
