Scientist, Oncology TCR-T Cell Therapy

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent Scientist to join our rapidly growing Cell Therapy Team. In this role, you will contribute to advancing innovative Cell Therapy products by designing and conducting laboratory experiments, developing methodology, and generating and interpreting scientific data in a highly collaborative environment.Expertise inin vitro and in vivo studies and T cell biology is critical for this role. To be successful in this role, you must be well-organized and keep an excellent written record of your work. You will be based in Gaithersburg, MD and report to the Associate Director, TCR-T Cell Therapy.
Accountabilities:
Conducts hands-on in vivo research
Conducts routine in vitro experiments
Contributes to the plans and designs of in vitro and in vivo studies
Communicates the results to team members and is involved in the interpretation of data
Supports a team and works collaboratively with project managers to ensure the efficient relay of information and forward translation of data
Education
Bachelor's degree in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Cell Biology, or relevant scientific field with 3+ years of research experience or Master’sdegree with at least 1 year of experience.
Essential skills
In vivo skillset including animal handling, mouse tumor models, standard routes of dosing and engraftment
Proficiency in cell culture of established cell lines and primary human immune cells
Hands-on expertise in T-cell functional characterization assays, including in vitro cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine measurement
Experience in the execution and analyses of flow cytometry experiments
Problem-solving skills related to research and data analysis
Preferred qualifications
Ability to lead a smallin vitro and in vivo science project
Transfection/transduction and expansion of primary cells
Basic experience in developing cellular therapies, including CAR-T/CAR-NK, TCR-T therapies, and/or TIL therapies.
CRISPR/genome editing experience
Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $87,000 to $130,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
