Note: Biomedical Science includes fields related to human biology, medicine, and health-related research with hands-on laboratory experience.

Program Details
- Start Date: September 2025
- Duration: 2 years
- Structure: Three individual eight-month placements
- Focus Areas: Drug discovery, development, and various R&D therapy areas.

Salary Information
We offer a competitive base salary of $82,500 per annum, plus a performance-based annual bonus. Enjoy a generous paid time off program and a comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and 401K). The program also offers relocation support if qualified.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a life science area of study, awarded in 2024 or before September 2025.
- 0 years of work experience required.
- At least 1 semester of wet lab experience.
- Proficiency in crafting and conducting scientific experiments.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and extract actionable insights.
Placement Details
- Lab-Based Placements: Opportunities focusing on biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, and computational/bioinformatics projects.
- Location: Based at a US site of your choice for the duration of the two-year program, with options either Gaithersburg, MD or Boston, MA.
- Flexibility: Various placements to choose from, with at least one lab-based placement required.
What Happens After the 2-Year Programme?
After completing the two-year program, approximately 50% of our graduates continue to academia to pursue a PhD, while others secure full-time roles either at AZ or elsewhere. Where will your journey take you?
Application ProcessInitial Step: After submitting your application, you will be required to complete online cognitive and behavioral assessments designed to evaluate your problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills. Virtual Interviews: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a full-day virtual assessment day. This will include:
- Live Presentations: Showcase your knowledge and communication skills through presentations.
- Q&A Sessions: Engage with our team through interactive question-and-answer segments.
- Observed Group Exercise: Demonstrate your collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment during a group exercise.
