Director, Automation Technology & Analytics
AstraZeneca is looking for an experienced Global Automation Technology & Analytics Director lead to join our team. The individual will lead the development of our manufacturing, quality and data systems. We are looking for a blend of technical expertise, and business process skills to guide teams towards achieving their vision. You will report to the Director, Business Systems.
You Will:
Develop a comprehensive manufacturing, quality and data strategy for Cell Therapy manufacturing aligning technology investments with our goals and priorities.
Work with partner organizations such as Manufacturing, Quality, and Facilities and Engineering to build and maintain efficient systems that support the safe, successful and compliant startup, technical transfer and operation of a clinical and commercial Cell Therapy manufacturing.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manufacturing, process engineering and QA, to understand workflow requirements and tailor MES/LIMS and Labeling configurations to meet diverse operational needs.
Drive the development of the process for integrated solutions that link MES/LIMS and Labeling with essential enterprise systems (SAP), promoting seamless data exchange and maintaining data integrity.
Lead the design, configuration, and enhancement of MES, LIMS and Labelling functionalities to improve workflows.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and data security measures across all MES, LIMS configurations and integrations.
Coordinate with Operations personnel, IT teams, and external vendors across multiple departments to define system requirements, address technical challenges, and improve system capabilities.
Lead change management efforts to improve adoption and use of new products and technology solutions, providing training, support, and communication to partners at all levels.
Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, overseeing contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance to ensure understanding of our requirements and goals.
Ensure all product activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and AstraZeneca's internal policies.
You Have:
A minimum of twelve (12) years with BS/BA, or ten (10) years with MS/MA, in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, regulatory compliance, and data management principles in manufacturing environments preferred.
Experience with cell therapy processes, technologies, and market dynamics.
Experience leading enterprise-wide system implementations, including MES, LIMS systems, supply chain, and other operational technologies, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
Project management skills, with experience working with teams and managing complex projects in a regulated environment.
Present to senior leadership and external partners.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $137,045.60 to $205,568.40. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles).
