Warehouse and Distribution Manager - Cotia/SP

Responsible for leading storage and distribution operations in AstraZeneca Brazil, ensuring quality, cost reduction, and delivery efficiency. Will develop and manage suppliers, build partnerships with stakeholders, and align local policies with international guidelines, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Accountable for inventory accuracy and the distribution process in the Brazilian market (including reverse logistics). Will lead initiatives to reduce lead time, ensure adherence to FCF, manage budgets (distribution and warehouse), and oversee risk/BCP. Participation in LatAm continuous improvement forums and conduct analyses to drive operational improvements.
Accountabilities:
Manage the storage and distribution team at AstraZeneca Brazil
Develop service providers to ensure operational excellence
Ensure that policies and procedures are aligned with AZ global policies, local regulations, and market best practices
Responsible for contract management within the area
Evaluate opportunities to reduce lead time in the supply chain and transportation processes
Ensure adherence to tax compliance processes (FCF)
Responsible for DC and 3PL management, ensuring compliance rules are followed; inventory accuracy (IRA); “order to cash” process, including reverse logistics and returns; ensure on-time deliveries
Responsible for logistics across the entire national territory through participation in relevant forums; proactive support for projects and initiatives
Maintain close contact with the supply team to resolve any issues related to the DC in terms of inventory levels, storage capacity, product handling, rework, and product delivery
Represent the distribution team in LatAm distribution forums (best practices, safety, risk management, etc.)
Establish, report, and track budget and cost objectives. Prepare and control the distribution and warehouse budget
Ensure integrated risk management and a robust continuity plan
Essential Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Advanced/Fluent English and Spanish (mandatory for daily international collaboration).
Technical Systems: Proven experience with ERP and MRP logic, with specific, hands-on proficiency in SAP.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Post-Graduate: MBA in Supply Chain, Operations, or International Business.
Professional Certifications: APICS credentials (CSCP or CLTD) are highly valued.
Methodologies: Lean Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) and a track record of process optimization.
