The Content Strategist will play a pivotal role in developing and executing Above the Brand Content and Service strategies that enhance customer engagement and improve overall customer experience. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and a deep understanding of customer needs and behaviors. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and optimize content that resonates with our audience.

This is a professional with a profound knowledge of new digital MKG tools, formats and typologies of content and services demanded by the HCPs, with vision to innovate and integrate the content strategy in a truly omnichannel way. The role requires business partnership with multiple stakeholders including Senior Executive Leaders and eventually top management at country and global level.

Typical Accountabilities

Customer Engagement & Digital

  • He/she demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity with an interdisciplinary approach and is responsible to establish an Internal Strategic Consulting mindset, focusing on support business & data-based decision making.
  • Has the capacity to understand what to prioritize, and the leadership skills to manage internal stakeholders’ expectations.
  • Contributes to marketing effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range opportunities that must be addressed together with the CE & Digital BPs.
  • He/she is part of the Customer Engagement & Customer experience HUB and will coordinate with the team to build best in class UX and CE and seamless integration with overall omnichannel value proposition.
  • As owner of the Above the Brand Content and Service Strategy, he/she is responsible for ideation, content , and, and therefor will work closely with various internal and external partners, such as local and global IT, Content Factory and 3rd party agencies/consultants.

Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement content strategies that align with business goals and enhance customer engagement and experience.
  • Conduct research to understand customer preferences, behaviors, and trends.
  • Create and manage a content calendar that supports customer engagement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with CE & Digital BP, marketing and medical teams’ product to ensure a consistent and cohesive content experience across all channels.
  • Analyze content performance metrics and customer feedback to refine and optimize content strategies.
  • Produce high-quality, engaging, and relevant content across various formats, including articles, videos, and more.
  • Lead content brainstorming sessions and workshops to generate innovative ideas.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging content technologies.
  • Advocate for the customer in all content-related decisions and strategies.

Act as an innovation Ambassador through the company

  • Brainstorms new and creative growth strategies through digital and omnichannel marketing.
  • Proposes new formats, functionalities or services to enhance user digital experience.
  • Evaluates emerging technologies lik AI to improve the quality and efficiency on content creation. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Promotes a culture of digital innovation around the organization.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Effectively work across the Commercial interface to successfully build relationships and drive performance collectively through all marketing and sales channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, and vendor partners to identify new capabilities to optimize the user experience, expanding the omnichannel ecosystem.
  • Understand how to pair strategy with internal client engagement and external supplier management in a highly regulated environment.

Vendor & Budget Management

  • Successfully partner with vendors and agencies to ensure the strategy, approaches, and requirements for website/platform transformation and execution are understood and interpreted appropriately for quality delivery and execution.
  • He/she will work closely with the CE & Digital Business partners, Content Platform Specialist, CE Hub Manager, Content Factory and 3rd party agencies, to coordinate content briefing, design & production, approval and delivery.

Compliance

  • Guarantees that all activities related to the job comply with applicable external and internal regulations (policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and code of conduct).

Education, Qualifications, and Experience

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in business management, consultancy, advertising or a related field to work in Digital Marketing and Customer Experience/Engagement.
  • More than 3 years of similar roles experience in the pharmaceutical or other industries (part of a team of digital transformation, customer engagement or omnichannel strategy).
  • Proven experience in content strategy, customer engagement, or a similar role
  • Proven experience managing complex digital ecosystems.
  • Experience in optimizing digital assets and user funnels and working with customer segmentation, propensity modelling and customer personas / journeys.
  • Proven experience in Omnichannel environments
  • Thorough knowledge of effective survey design and experience working with online survey platforms.

Desirable

  • Digital Mindset with native digital skills and proven digital experience in other markets beyond biomedical companies including global environments.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing and demonstrable experience leading and managing content strategies for an omnichannel ecosystem.

Skills and Capabilities

Essential

  • Proven experience in content strategy, customer engagement, or a similar role.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and analytics tools.
  • A deep understanding of customer-centric content strategies.
  • Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate.

Desirable

  • Highly creative, digital transformation acumen, proven track of excellent omnichannel performance in complex environments.
  • Understanding current and future trends on Omnichannel and Customer Experience strategy and implementation, with experience in developing and escalating those in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Familiarity with SEO and UX best practices and content optimization techniques.
