We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, Retained Estate, Asset Management to join our Cambridge Site Operations Team, to oversee and govern a first class asset management service across UK South. The role will focus on governing services in our retained estate footprint, and support programme activities in the development of our future estate. We are looking for somebody with an ability to govern operational activities, working closely with supply partners and collaborators across the business as we embark on our next stage of our estate strategy.
Accountabilities
- Be the first point of contact for Engineering governance issues for service performance and customer experience across the Cambridge, London and Luton estate from an Asset Management perspective
- Govern supplier teams and business partnerships, communicating roles and responsibilities whilst driving partnership and collaboration amongst the team and business collaborators
- Have accountability for Engineering compliance, tactical performance, and prioritisation of 3rd party operational Engineering teams
- Manage defect resolution for interim sites through transition to the proposed retained estate
- Monitor and drive performance though collaboration with stakeholders, suppliers and peers
- Apply critical metrics and processes to ensure clear direction of objectives for work required
- Be responsible for developing and maintaining Asset Management budget within set targets and future forecasted spends as a part of the wider Site Operations budgets
- Act as single point of contact for advanced service delivery issues
- Support in the development and execution of the retained estate capital plan
- Develop arguments in support of site investment
- Cultivate collaborative working across Site Operations, other organizational functions, and third-party suppliers to optimize service delivery
- Establish and maintain effective emergency management processes, actively contributing to Site Emergency Response and Business Continuity Teams
Essential Skills & Experience
- An Engineering qualification of HND or higher
- Experience of working in a Facilities Management, Operations or Manufacturing setting
- An ability to plan, prioritise, and work effectively within a governance framework and matrix organisation
- Ability to communicate, collaborate and influence diverse teams to achieve positive outcomes
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment involving changes to priorities and schedules
- Experience in a similar role with a proven track record of delivering services
- Awareness of industry standards, innovations, and trends
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Member of an appropriate professional body or working towards Chartership
