This role is an exciting opportunity based at the Barcelona office supporting the sustained growth of Alexion in its core indications & expansion into new therapy areas. This role will report into the Global Disease Lead Nephrology in the Hematology & Nephrology (HemNeph) TA.
This trainee will be an integral part of the GMMA HemNeph team and will work in close collaboration with the members of the cross-functional team in order to achieve the learning objectives and deliverables. The individual will contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of this dynamic team and will be expected to be an excellent team player, collaborator and apply analytical skills and thinking to both day-to-day operations and innovative projects.
In particular, the Marketing Trainee, GMMA will support the HemNeph team drive the Global Marketing strategies and execute selected brand tactics.
You will be responsible for:
- Execute select activities of the Global tactical plan
- Perform analytics on implemented tactics to identify areas of improvement
- Support development of global disease commercial materials, including development, approvals and roll-out of commercial materials
- Collaborate on the planning and execution of our key global congresses. Manage internal approval related to congress activities under the supervision of Disease Leads
- Provide project management for cross-functional team on key initiatives, internal meetings and internal communication
- Collaborate with digital team on promotion of website (e.g., update of website contents, banner ad, media campaign, analytics) and other digital initiatives
- Executes logistics, develops contents and communicates with all stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance of all projects and initiatives led with internal SOPs/policies and external reporting obligations
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the above mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
You will need to have:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required with a preference in a scientific area
- MBA or other business education is preferred
- Fluency in English both written and oral mandatory, fluency in other languages is a plus
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Advanced user of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
- Ideally, knowledge of management of promotional materials in Veeva
- Self-starter, willing and able to utilize initiative
- Ability to deliver on time to agreed deadlines
- Understands when to seek help/advice
