Business Operations Lead

This is what you will do:

The Business Operations Lead will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic business planning and operations in our regional framework. This role is integral to driving pipeline investment decisions, enhancing countries’ support, and improving business processes that support EUCAN & international growth and operational excellence.

You will be responsible for:

Business Operations (estimated 70%): Support the head of Business Planning & Operations and the region in driving strategic and transformative cross functional projects to successful execution with measurable business impact.

  • Ensure appropriate support from above market team to countries by coordinating and ensuring above market engagements plan. Work closely with country teams to align strategies and expectations, facilitating a seamless engagement process across markets.
  • Ensure global strategy for pipeline is implemented appropriatedly in the countries, via investment, global engagement and support for local launch preparation. Deliver a comprehensive regional model to effectively identify potential customers and analyze overlaps in centers for pipeline and business development opportunities. Consolidate market insights and identify knowledge gaps. The Business Operation Lead will work with the regional Insights team to provide countries with the necessary data to accurately forecast Rolling Business Update 2 (RBU2) and Mid-Term Plans (MTP) through detailed indication fact files, and other channels as required.
  • Identify and inspire improvements for business processes.  Lead crucial process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of EUCAN International countries’ commercial operations (example S&OP, GBS management, etc.)
  • Collaborate in defining and planning strategic projects, ensuring effective content delivery and readiness for engagement or governance meetings related to assigned projects.

Strategic Initiatives (estimated 30%)

  • Provide project management support for strategic initiatives of the region, to innovate and transform the Alexion’s processes and engagement model, ensuring the organisation’s success in the current and future market dynamics.

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Business, Finance or Scientific-related field
  • Proven experience in business operations, strategic planning, and commercial operations within a regional or global context.
  • Strong Project Management and Planning & Operations skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret complex models.
  • Excellent project management and coordination abilities, with a track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.
  • Effective leadership skills to drive team development and spearhead innovative initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (determined by travel policy, circumstances and team mix)
