Nominated Signatory Advisor
Introduction to role
The role of Nominated Signatory Advisor covers supports the activity to gain approval of specified materials and activities linked to promotion, interactions with Health Care Professional and Health Care Organisations and other related areas such as non-promotional health education materials. This is an important responsibility undertaken on behalf of the Company.
As a Nominated Signatory Advisor, you'll work on projects and provide support across medical affairs and commercial business area. Your role will involve delivering routine or transactional activities independently, ensuring compliance and ethical standards are met.
Accountabilities
The role of ‘Nominated Signatory’ covers a set of responsibilities for final approval of specified materials and activities linked to promotion, interactions with Health Care Professional and Organisations and other related areas such as non-promotional health education materials. This is an important responsibility undertaken on behalf of the Company and in a personal professional capacity. It adds value to the Company and reflects the importance of doing business in a compliant and ethical manner.
Review and approval typically involve a team approach where a Nominated Signatory represents the final position of a team, which may include Legal, Medical and Regulatory review, as well as their own personal, professional position.
Collaborating with the Compliance Business Partner, you'll implement global SOPs, procedures, and guidance locally, actively participating in evaluating new projects and executing routine activities.
Works closely with marketing colleagues to support the development of branding material within a specific therapy area:
- Responds to queries from sales representatives, marketing and medical teams offering expert advice and solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functionally to aid the creation and development of local marketing activities and projects.
- Supports the preparation of key documents to ensure they are medically and scientifically accurate and compliant with internal and local standards
- Keeps own knowledge of specific drugs and relevant studies up to date
- Assist other AstraZeneca Global Signatories or Global Teams as necessary.
- Delivers on tasks agreed and presents results effectively
- Execute tasks efficiently and present results effectively, identifying opportunities for improvement and practical solutions in branding within your area of expertise
Essential Skills/Experience
- Degree in medicine, pharmacy or other relevant life sciences
- Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local and global compliance standards, including the ability to implement and adhere to SOPs and regulatory guidelines Working understanding of relevant legislation (INFARMED) and external codes of practice relating to promotional activities (APIFARMA, EFPIA)
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing and approving promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure they are accurate and compliant.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, and Sales teams.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively respond to queries and present results.
- Analytical Skills: Competence in evaluating projects and identifying opportunities for improvement in processes and branding strategies.
- Ethical Judgment: Strong ethical judgment and integrity to ensure business activities align with AstraZeneca’s values and ethical standards.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to provide practical solutions and improve methodologies within the scope of branding and compliance.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to changing priorities and work in a dynamic environment.
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry: Prior experience working within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly in a compliance or regulatory role.
- Familiarity with Health Care Systems: Understanding of the healthcare landscape in Portugal
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with digital tools and platforms used for approval processes.
- Presentation Skills: Comfort and proficiency in delivering presentations to various audiences.
- Initiative and Proactivity: A proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement and driving positive change.
