Introduction to role:

TheSenior MuleSoftEngineerwill be a key contributor in building next-generation integration solutions for Alexion’s Digital Enterprise Integration ecosystem. This role merges deepMuleSoftexpertise with emerging AI capabilities, enabling intelligent and automated integration workflows.

Accountabilities:

• Collaboratingcloselywith business analysts, integration managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, intelligent integration architectures.
• Designing, developing, and deployingenterprise-grade integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, incorporating AI-enhanced design patterns and AgentFabric components for adaptive, context-aware integrations.
• Buildingand exposingintelligentAPIsthat enable semantic interoperability, improve data accuracy, and leverage AI-assisted metadata mapping for consistency across systems.
• Participatingactively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery of integration assets.
• Conductingunit testing, peer code reviews, and performance optimization, using AI-augmented testing tools and automated performance baselines to ensure quality and compliance.
• Troubleshooting,optimizing, and evolvingcomplex integration flows, using machine learning insights and contextual diagnostics to enhance reliability and performance.
• Developingandmaintainingcomprehensive documentationfor integration solutions, APIs, and workflows, supported by AI-generated summaries and technical insights for better maintainability.
• Leveragingtoolssuch as GitHub Copilot, Postman Enterprise, and AI-augmented integration workflows to drive measurable productivity gains and consistent delivery quality.
• Continuously evaluatingand adoptingnew MuleSoft capabilities, AI orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AgentFabric), and MCP-based governance models to evolve integration maturity across the enterprise.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• 4+ years of integration experience, with at least 2 years focused on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Proven ability to integrate MuleSoft APIs with AI and automation frameworks such as AgentFabric, LangChain, or DSPy.
• Strong proficiency in REST, SOAP, RAML/OpenAPI, and DataWeave transformations.
• Experience with event-driven systems and middleware technologies (Kafka, JMS, etc.).
• Understanding of security, compliance, and data governance in enterprise integrations.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, and infrastructure automation tools.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency, reliability, and automation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• MuleSoft Certified Developer – Level 1 or higher.
• Experience using LLMOps tools such as LangChain, Letta, or LlamaIndex for AI workflow orchestration.
• Understanding of FAIR data and AI governance principles in enterprise IT.
• Experience implementing AI-augmented SDLC and agent governance frameworks.
• Exposure to cloud AI services and their integration into enterprise workflows.
