Key Accounts Manager - Chennai
Job Description
You will be responsible to positively influence customers’ prescribing behaviour to achieve sales targets, develop territory and build strong customer relationships with the objective of maximizing sales volume and market share of designated products on a given territory.
What You’ll Do
As a Key Accounts Manager, you will be responsible to develop and implement market positioning strategies for the R&I products of AZ along with contributing to build the knowledge and capabilities of HCPs at a local level. You will work closely with the sales team to deliver timely sales targets and ensure to create robust stakeholder relationships.
Accountabilities
Develop account strategy and plans
- Identify opportunities and strategize to improve positioning and procurement of AZ's products at all Govt institutions.
- Design the plans and execute for all the categories of both federal and State government institutions.
- Collaborate with Zonal Manager to develop tactical approach for local procurement to positively impact the central RCs.
Achieve the sales Goals.
- Meet and exceed sales though the right forecast.
- Promote the benefits of AZ's R&I brands, and the value proposition to replace the current SOC, improving/creating indents.
- Understand the patient & File journey and map the stakeholders and constantly be in communication with all the stakeholders (HCPs, DMU, all other stakeholders involved in purchase process) to propel the purchase process for AZ Brands.
Stakeholder Management:
- Map the stakeholders across in the ecosystem and mobilize the required efforts to serve the target patient population through science conversations.
- Engage R&I HCPs in dialogue to create the treatment protocols to improve the patient funnel and initiating treatment for all targeted patients.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather the support needed in the ecosystem for improved access of Az brands in the target accounts. (i.e. Access, Tender team, SOTC team, Distribution, Medical)
Build capability and knowledge in healthcare eco-system
- Build knowledge of focused therapy areas of AZ presence and value proposition of AZ Brands
- Utilize different communication approaches, techniques, and channels to help build knowledge in the MDT and DMU, including.
- Conduct science-based discussions with the HCP as per the approved indications of AZ's products.
- Arrange and coordinate for effective spread of science in the institutions through the scientific events.
- Actively work with accounts on deploying the resource for Screening, Identification of Target patients, File preparation, Onboarding.
Be compliant
- Successfully complete all training requirements, including product examinations.
- Comply with all external regulations and internal policies.
- Ensure compliance with the AZ Code of Ethics, Global External Interactions Policy and Standards, and Privacy Policy and Standards, especially when interacting with Patient Groups.
Essential For the Role
- University Science graduate, MBA from reputable institute is preferable.
- Proficient in verbal and written communication (English).
- Must have 5+ years of public channel sales experience with Pharma sector.
- Should have been a high performer in sales, Cross functional engagement, strong business acumen.
- Organizational skills, good analytical skills, ability to manage complex situations with a high degree of maturity.
