Job Description
Working with more senior colleagues providing support on projects as required through well-defined guidelines. May have joined the department from an operations area. Will play a support role for meetings and exhibitions working with some autonomy in own area.
Accountabilities
- Support and complete public relations strategies toimprovee the company's image and promote its sustainability efforts.
- Build and distribute press releases, media kits, and other PR materials.
- Collaborate with internal teams and Employee Resource Groups to align PR activities with sustainability goals.
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainability trends and standard processes.
- Prepare reports on sustainability metrics and progress towards goals.
- Assist in the development of sustainability policies and programs.
- Coordinate and participate in sustainability and external events and initiatives.
- Support and monitoring of the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
- Support for Sustainability ERGs in detailing evidence and calculating metrics.
- Management and documentation for collaborative initiatives with government and civil society organizations.
- Monitoring of agreements, programs and initiatives with universities.
- Support with documentation for rankings and certifications.
- Development of graphic materials and presentations.
- Responsible for supporting current, agreed and effective communications policies and guidelines
- Research relationships with external agencies and third-party suppliers
- Monitoring and management of vendors, purchase orders, and invoicing.
- Supports meetings with external agencies and third-party suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree level in International Business, International Relations, Public Relations, Communications, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in public relations, sustainability, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of sustainability practices and principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in social media management and content creation.
- Ability to analyse data and generate reports.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong customer leadership skills.
- Responsible, creative, organized, and analytical.
- Excellent presentation development skills (graphics and communication).
- Proficient English
Desirable
- Experience working in sustainability strategy and initiatives.
- Experience with sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, CDP, SASB).
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance.
- Professional communications experience and/or related qualification
