Crowdsourcing is a method of obtaining ideas, content, services, or solutions by inviting contributions from a group of people, typically through an open call or online platform. It allows organizations to utilize the collective knowledge and skills of diverse individuals to achieve goals or solve challenges.
The Digital Services team within IGNITE delivers ideation and crowdsourcing solutions to help our colleagues produce ideas, solve challenges, collaborate and drive innovation forward. Through a versatile platform, we enable to the business to run hackathons, make processes more efficient, personally develop, run business competitions and more! The solutions will vary depending on business need and can either be deployed internally, or externally, to AstraZeneca!
The role of the Crowdsourcing specialist is to enable the business to effectively crowdsource through consulting with them, supporting them throughout the campaign, supporting the implementation of solutions as well as post campaign support. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage with, learn about and support all SET Areas and levels of the organization.
One of our main tools to support our growing crowdsourcing demand is BrightIdea (BI). BI is an end-to-end Innovation Management solution that enables the enterprise to collaborate across teams and deliver projects through a customizable pipeline. As a part of this role, you will be trained and become an expert in this dynamic tool.
The Ideation and Crowdsourcing Specialist will launch, implement, and promote the IGNITE crowdsourcing service using a state-of-the-art suite of tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with the business to understand Ideation and Crowdsourcing needs
- Deliver crowdsourcing platform awareness and training in collaboration with 3rd party vendors
- Assist in the governance of large volumes of user data and idea generation
- Aid in the maturation and simplification of the IGNITE crowdsourcing service
- Execute and support crowdsourcing initiatives in close partnership with key stakeholders
- Support the technical roadmap implementation including integrations and custom enhancements
- Analyze and assist in the implementation of ideas captured through crowdsourcing
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Technology service experience
- PowerBI/Power Automate experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong communication, facilitation, and coordination skills
- Effective stakeholder management
- Ability to work well in diverse, multinational teams and the ability to influence others to achieve positive outcomes
Desired Skills:
- Strong desire to learn of the current and emerging Crowdsourcing tool landscape, and how to apply to different business scenarios and use cases across the company
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to tackle sophisticated challenges in the most simple and effective way
