Associate Director, S/4HANA Data Transformation - AMERICAS Operations Cleanse

About the Role

Play a pivotal role in transforming data management for a leading enterprise. As Associate Director, S/4HANA Data Transformation - AMERICAS Operations Cleanse, you will ensure business data readiness for migration to SAP S/4HANA. You will collaborate closely with Business Analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to analyse, cleanse, and govern Operations data. Leverage your data management expertise to drive the end-to-end data lifecycle, enforce governance, ensure compliant data quality, and deliver reliable dashboards that enable data-driven decision-making across the Axial program.

Key Responsibilities

Cleanse Execution:Drive and deliver all data cleanse activities across the assigned Operations object workstream to meet migration quality requirements for SAP S/4HANA.

Define Scope and Approach:Identify and document the cleanse scope, methodology, and delivery plan; establish project documentation and governance frameworks.

Data Quality Management:Perform comprehensive data quality analysis; define requirements, controls, and monitoring processes; track and report progress to stakeholders, including stock reconciliation.

Prioritization and Reporting:Lead prioritization of data delivery across the workstream and provide clear status reporting, risk identification, and mitigation plans.

Best Practice Integration:Apply data management best practices by engaging data experts and leveraging expert knowledge to accelerate delivery.

Stakeholder Management:Coordinate with local leads, project resources, data services, technology teams, and global data offices; manage key relationships between cleanse teams and S/4HANA project/business teams, including warehouse and supply chain stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience Required

Data Cleansing:Proven experience leading complex SAP data cleansing initiatives, including business requirements gathering, data interrogation and profiling, approval workflows, and cleanse execution, with strong focus on Materials Management (MM), Inventory Management, and Warehouse Management (WM/EWM).

Operations Data Domain Expertise:Strong knowledge of master and transactional data across Operations (e.g., Material Master, Production, Bill of Materials (BOM), Inventory Balances), with specific experience in stock types, movement types, batch and serial numbers, storage locations, and storage bins.

Data Quality and Migration:Deep expertise in data profiling, analysis, migration, reconciliation, and validation, with hands-on experience in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data loading tools.

SAP Functional Knowledge:Strong understanding of SAP data objects and functional processes, and how data integrates across an SAP architecture with operational focus, including MM (Materials Management), WM/EWM (Warehouse Management/Extended Warehouse Management), and Logistics Execution.

Stakeholder Influence:Ability to translate complex data issues into clear solutions and narratives, influencing stakeholders with confidence, especially across warehouse, supply chain, and procurement functions.

Project Delivery:Excellent project management, collaboration, and presentation skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

Essential

Education and Experience:Degree in Engineering or equivalent, with relevant SAP experience and subject matter expertise in Operations objects and processes, particularly logistics and inventory management.

SAP Proficiency:Demonstrable working knowledge of SAP transactions and reporting, with understanding of data integration across SAP architectures; experience with MM, Inventory Management, and WM/EWM.

Transformation Leadership:Proven experience leading complex data quality/data migration initiatives within large-scale transformation programs, including inventory reconciliation and warehouse data migration.

Global Collaboration:Experience working in diverse, global teams across functions and cultures.

Influence and Negotiation:Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and lead negotiations to achieve target outcomes.

Delivery Focus:Proven track record of prioritizing effectively to achieve goals and outcomes; demonstrated project leadership skills.

Desirable

Industry Experience:Experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.

Enablement:Experience training business users on SAP processes, including logistics and inventory processes.

Migration Tooling:Proficiency in data migration planning, data mapping, and reporting; experience with Syniti Advanced Data Migration (ADM) for data migration and data quality.
