The Senior Marketing Director, LCM Portfolio & Customer Engagement Immunology is the US marketing lead for future Saphnelo® indications, responsible for shaping and executing brand strategies across AstraZeneca’s innovative Immunology portfolio. In addition, this role will drive strategic engagement across the external scientific community and elevate AstraZeneca’s leadership in Immunology. Reporting to the Executive Marketing Director, you will lead a marketing and customer facing team and collaborate closely with HCP & Consumer Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Global teams, and Corporate Affairs. This position is based in Wilmington, DE.
With a clear focus on Future indication brand management & scientific advocacy, you will oversee efforts to advance our brand strategy and maintain relationships with External Scientific Experts (ESEs), ensuring their insights inform commercial strategies and strengthen the brand’s presence across Rheumatology, Dermatology, Nephrology, and Pulmonology. This position requires a visionary leader capable of energizing cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, and delivering strategic impact in an evolving therapeutic space.
What You'll Do
Provide strategic direction for the Immunology marketing team and Regional Customer Directors, guiding future Saphnelo® indication launches and deepening customer and HCP engagement
Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies, including brand positioning, go-to-market models, and launch plans for multiple Saphnelo® indications
Develop and implement US commercial plans in partnership with medical and evidence teams to maximize multi-indication success
Manage cross-functional US/global teams to ensure readiness and successful execution of launch initiatives, marketing deliverables, and stakeholder engagement
Oversee peer-to-peer interactions, congress/conference planning, and sales meetings through a field-facing team of Regional Customer Directors
Build and expand the External Scientific Expert engagement and advocacy development plan, driving ESE recognition and brand presence in key specialty areas
Identify, develop, build the strategy forrelationship management with current and future ESEs, leveraging their insights to strengthen brand strategy and market leadership
Lead the team to develop and execute the National Congress strategy, overseeing all marketing activities and compliance for congresses and speaker programs

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
10+ years’ relevant experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry
Experience in multiple commercial functions (Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Medical Affairs)
People Leadership experience in leading Headquarter Marketing and customer facing teams
Prior success in pre launch/ launchbrand strategy and cross-functional execution
Based in Wilmington, DE; willingness to travel (approx. 35%)
Preferred Qualifications
Established relationships with Rheumatologists strongly preferred
Prior Immunology and/or multi-indication launch experience
