As a District Sales Manager, Primary Care - CVRM, Chicago South you will lead a team of pharmaceutical sales professionals—ranging from early-careers to tenured experts within the Primary Care market. Your leadership will be pivotal in driving performance, fostering growth, and ensuring our team delivers exceptional value to healthcare providers and patients.
This District covers: East to the Illinois/Indiana border. West border is Quad Cities. North border is University of Chicago in Chicago including Napierville. South border is Kankakee and south suburbs including Oak Lawn, Orland Park, Tinley Park, and Joliet.

Accountabilities
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, disease states, and treatment guidelines within the primary care setting.
- Apply solid knowledge of sales metrics, market analysis, and budget management to optimize district performance.
- Share actionable insights to influence brand strategy and execution.
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of sales professionals, both new to industry and tenured experts—by fostering inclusion, adaptability, and collaboration during high-impact events such as product launches.
- Coach and develop sales representatives to enhance their skills, customer engagement, and career progression.
- Build a collaborative, high-performing team culture by setting clear expectations and providing ongoing support.
- Identify growth opportunities and leverage market insights to implement innovative sales strategies.
- Enable team success through multi-channel engagement and effective use of technology.
Essential Skills and Capabilities
- Clinical Acumen: Deep understanding of cardiovascular primary care drug therapies, clinical conditions, and management strategies.
- Business Acumen: Strong grasp of market dynamics, budget considerations, formulary access, and provider engagement.
- Coaching Excellence: Ability to develop and inspire a team, fostering strong relationships with healthcare providers to drive positive patient outcomes.

Minimum Skills Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7 years of demonstrated sales leadership, in a combination of pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry experience
- Proven ability to lead teams through dynamic environments, including onboarding new-to-industry talent while maintaining engagement and performance among experienced team members.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Preferred Skills Requirements
- 10+ years of year-over-year pharma sales leadership
- Prior launch experience
- Previous therapeutic experience in CVRM, Cardiovascular
- Some experience in Primary Care for a pharma manufacturer
- Demonstrated success in guiding teams through complex product launches, ensuring alignment, motivation, and readiness across varying levels of experience.

Compensation Information:The annual base salary (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $170,000 - $215,000. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
