The Director of US Corporate Affairs, Market Access and BioPharmaceuticals Medical is part of the US Corporate Communications team and responsible for shaping and executing internal and external corporate affairs strategies for US Market Access and BioPharmaceuticals Medical. You'll provide strategic counsel, develop and implement high-impact communications plans that support business priorities, strengthen the company’s reputation, and engage and inspire employees across the US.

What you'll do

  • Lead the development and delivery of the corporate affairs strategy for US Market Access and BioPharmaceuticals Medical teams, aligning with business priorities and enterprise direction.

  • Partner across functions to design and execute comprehensive internal and external communication plans and campaigns that support strategic objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.

  • Shape and advance internal communications initiatives that engage US Market Access and BioPharma Medical colleagues, in alignment with the US enterprise internal communications strategy and global best practices.

  • Plan, develop, and deliver internal flagship events and programs, such as Town Halls and senior leadership forums, in close collaboration with enterprise internal communications.

  • Advise US Market Access and BioPharma Medical leadership on executive communications strategy and presence across internal channels (e.g., Workvivo) and external platforms (e.g., speaking engagements, social media), including key messages, tone and style.

  • Provide actionable insight into the needs, opportunities and issues of US Market Access and BioPharma Medical audiences; collaborate with US corporate communications to embed these insights into enterprise communications planning.

  • Maintain a unified, on-brand look and feel across all internal and external communications channels, reflecting the company’s corporate brand strategy and visual identity standards.

  • Ensure that communications are compliant with requirements and company policies.

Essential for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, communication, public relations or related field

  • 7+ years of experience in public relations, corporate communications function or PR agency

  • Experience managing Senior Leadership Stakeholders and complex organizations

  • Ability to set and handle priorities, deadlines, resources, goals, and project initiatives

  • Ability to manage agencies/external partnerships

  • Solid understanding in the latest in digital and social media technology, and channels

  • Use of data & analytics to evaluate campaigns & generate insights, as well as capture ROI

  • Ability to understand and interpret scientific and medical data, or demonstrate transferrable skill to learn quickly

  • Experience developing and implementing coordinated, multi-channel communication strategies and plans

  • Experience interacting and providing counsel to senior leaders as well as cross-functional stakeholders

  • Experience managing project teams and third-party vendors

  • Understanding and experience of issues management

  • First-rate coordination, teamwork, organization and multi-tasking skills

Desirable for the role

  • Experience with sales, marketing and other commercial communications

  • Corporate, executive, internal and external communications experience

  • Knowledge of the US healthcare system

  • Knowledge of the Pharma industry

  • Experience in driving value through impactful storytelling for internal and external audiences

  • Medical or scientific related communications/writing experience
