Director, Market Access Strategy - Portfolio Policy & LCM

Introduction to role:

Are you ready to fuse science with business and set the direction for our portfolio? As a Director, Market Access Strategy, you will be reporting to the Senior Director Inhaled Market Access Strategy. Your role will be pivotal in delivering Marketing Strategies and Tactics across all Market Access Customer Segments to ensure affordable patient access and achieve the portfolio’s net sales and volume goals.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the SYMBICORT P&L in the current year and over the Mid-Term Planning Cycle. You will collaborate with the Government Affairs team to inform on R&I TA priorities and implications relating to evolving Government Policy landscape. You will also develop innovative value proposition capabilities across the R&I Portfolio. Lastly, you will coordinate with Global and Medical functions on Lifecycle Management (LCM) programs including preparation for commercialization of late-stage indications for the inhaled portfolio.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Bachelor’s Degree required

- Minimum of 5 years progressive experience within the pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical industry including payer marketing, contracting, account management, and/or field sales

- Strong understanding of the current US biopharmaceutical market access / reimbursement landscape and the legal/regulatory environment

- Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate colleagues at all levels to execute on strategy

- Ability to think strategically across the full business and to translate strategy into tactical implementation.

- Teamwork and leadership skills, including the ability to gain consensus and act within ambiguous, complex matrix organization

- Results oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.  Ability to influence senior leaders.

- Thorough understanding of customer and industry marketing practices and trends

- Demonstrated drive, and desire to grow career beyond the Market Access Director Role.

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Experience building strategy for both primary care and specialty biopharmaceutical products

- Experience developing and executing successful biopharmaceutical launch strategy – defined by strong market access and volume uptake

- 5+ years Market Access experience

- MBA Desirable
