Director, 340B Program Integrity Measures

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Directorof 340B Program Integrity Measures to join our dedicated and talented Contract Operations team within Market Access. In this role, you will be responsible for AstraZeneca’s deployment, management and administration of the 340B Program Integrity Measures reporting directly to the Executive Director, Market Access Contract Operations.
Responsibilities:

  • Survey channel dynamics to stay ahead of the ever-changing commercial practices that leverage to exploit the 340B program and divert 340B-priced products to for-profit commercial outlets.
  • In close collaboration with our Government Affairs team, stay updated on the evolving 340B regulations and policies. Interpret the impact of these changes on our strategy and make necessary adjustments to remain compliant and ahead of any potential compliance issues.

  • Representation in discussions and hearings related to the 340B program State Legislation and legal developments. 

  • Robust monitoring to adjust and refine curtailment efforts in real-time. Trending and variance analyses to detect purchases spikes, as well as sold to/ship to inconsistencies, working with wholesalers to reconcile purchase levels, identifytrends and determine misalignments between sold-to and ship-to locations, providing leadership with the insights needed to address any discrepancies.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, brand teams, legal, and compliance, to ensure alignment on 340B strategies and execution. 

  • Representation in industry forums and discussions related to the 340B program allowing us to build relationships with key stakeholders and stay informed about the latest trends and challenges. 

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on all 340B program matters including alignment with key account stakeholders in 340B related contractual language

  • Manage AstraZeneca’s 340B policies and ensure compliance across the Biopharmaceuticals and Oncology portfolio of products and all contracted customer segments for both Pharmacy and Medical Benefits

  • Manage 340B vendor relationships.

  • Work closely with Chargeback and Membership teams to ensure timely delivery / receipt of eligibility files to wholesalers of eligible contract pharmacy locations for 340B replenishment

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 8+ years of Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry experience, ideally with knowledge of pharmaceutical sales and market access dynamics 

  • Deep understanding of the 340B drug pricing program, including regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices. 

  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to evaluate program performance. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. 

  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans with a focus on achieving measurable results.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $182,360.20 - 273,540.80 USD annually. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
