Scientist, In Vivo Pharmacology Immuno-Oncology Early Discovery
We areseekinga highly motivated and independent Scientist in cancer pharmacology witha track recordof scientific excellencein the area ofin vivo cancer modelingto join our team in Waltham, MA USA. As a Scientist in the IO Discovery group, you will be a key member of a team focused on delivering all aspects of in vivo pharmacology support. You will bring your theoretical and practicalexpertisetoestablishand support mouse models, assay systems, and deliver datasets that will have a direct impact on the drug discovery process and pipeline.
Accountabilities:
This is a laboratory-based position within Oncology Research where you willconduct, andanalyze both in vivo experiments to assess the function of our candidate oncology drugs and dissect the mechanism of action of novel cancer therapeutics. You will be expected to support cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with project leaders to ensure thetimelygeneration and dissemination of critical program data.As a highly organized, self-motivated individual with a strong background in laboratory science, you will stay up to date with relevant technical and intellectual scientificexpertisein tumor biology, pharmacology, and cancer modeling and have a genuine passion for this field of research.
Essential Skills/Experience:
B.S in relevant scientific area with2-5yearsresearch experience in Cancer biology, Immunology or other related scientific discipline, M.S in relevant scientific area with0-2yearsresearch experience in Cancer biology,Immunologyor other related scientific discipline.
Experience developing and working withcomplex invivo models, such as xenograft, PBMC and CD34 humanized, patient derived xenograft (PDX) and syngeneic mouse models.
Experience delivering in vivo pharmacology studies in mouse tumor models, including dose-finding tolerability studies, PK/PDand efficacy studies.
Proficient in technical in vivo injection skills including, but not limitedto:subcutaneous, intravenous, intraperitoneal, and oral gavage.
Experience with a range ofin vitroskills,e.g.cell culture, molecular biology,immunoblottingand ELISA.
Works independently, assesses, and reports data in a clear and concise manner, with a clear understanding of its implications within the overall context of drug discovery.
Maintains a well-developed understanding of approaches to drug discovery and applies a broader functional knowledge of the procedures used by diverse project groups to support the department where needed.
Ability to design, manage,implementand deliver results for complex multi-functional projects.
Strong ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects simultaneously whilemaintainingefficient time management.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills together with evidence of delivery in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to report data in a clear and concise manner, with a clear understanding of its implications within the overall context of drug discovery.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Biotechnology or pharmaceuticalindustry experiencepreferred.
Experience withoptimizingand performinghigh parameterflow cytometry.
Experience with xenograft and humanized models of cancer, specifically human Tcellor myeloid engraftment models.
Experience conducting in vivo research using biologics including peptides, antibodies, antibody-drugconjugatesand small molecules.
Experience in leading part of a project through key milestones with specific timelines.

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $99,252.00 - $138,378.00. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
