Therapy Area Specialist Oncology (Breast Cancer/Gynae) - Vilnius

AstraZeneca is looking for a Therapy Area Specialist to join our team in Lithuania. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a territory business plan to drive the performance of promoted brands, building strong relationships with key customers, and delivering high-quality scientific and product information across your territory.

The role requires strong account planning, customer focus, and execution excellence. You will identify key opportunities, maintain and improve target lists, and ensure effective territory coverage aligned with brand strategy, customer needs, and ethical standards. You will also organize local educational activities, gather market insights, and provide timely feedback to cross-functional colleagues on customer needs, competitor activity, and market developments.

Key Responsibilities

You will develop and implement a territory business plan that identifies priorities, actions, and goals for promoted products in line with guidance from your Line Manager. You will build and maintain relationships with key customers, deliver competent clinical data and product communication, and support the achievement of business objectives within the assigned area.

You will create strong account plans for priority accounts based on a clear understanding of clinical pathways, leakage points, and customer needs. The role also includes organizing local seminars and group meetings, updating customer and activity information in relevant systems, and collaborating closely with colleagues to maximize regional share of voice and execution quality.

All activities must be carried out in accordance with AstraZeneca policies, written procedures, applicable legal requirements, and relevant ethical regulations.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Candidates should have a university degree or equivalent and 3–4 years of pharmaceutical sales experience with strong sales results across relevant product areas. A solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare environment, and compliant customer engagement is required.
  • You should have strong communication and relationship-building skills, the ability to tailor messages to customer needs, and confidence in presenting scientific and product information in both individual and group settings. Good planning and prioritization skills, digital engagement capability, and proficiency in MS Office and customer systems are important for success in the role.
  • Fluency in Lithuanian and English is required, together with a valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the region.
