Junior Finance Business Partner / Finance Analyst

Your role will involve managing key financial processes, providing insightful analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to propel business growth.
Accountabilities:
- Manage cyclical financial processes, including month-end closing, monthly reporting, and business planning.
- Develop reliable operational and financial forecasts to ensure resources are allocated effectively, maximizing value creation for AstraZeneca.
- Build budgets, forecasts, financial models, and business cases to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Deliver monthly management reports and dashboards to provide clear insights into financial performance.
- Run margin and cost analyses, identifying trends and providing insights to support budget holders.
- Partner and support commercial and market access leads in the respective therapy area with data input, analysis, and data-driven decision insights, enhancing strategic outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Finance Controller on financial and controllership tasks, act as a backup when needed.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss analyses, detailing key risks, opportunities, and sensitivities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of sales and costs with various departments to ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- Work proactively with the business to identify future financial information needs and create efficient solutions to meet those needs, demonstrating significant commercial and business acumen to enhance business results.
- Drive efficiencies proactively, seeking cross-functional process solutions to enhance operational effectiveness.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration. A master’s degree or relevant professional certifications is preferred.
- Proven 2+ years of experience in financial or accounting role within a corporate environment.
- Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and financial controlling practices.
- Ability to perform basic financial modelling, exposure to budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to link financial data with business strategy to provide actionable insights.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting insights clearly.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI, etc).
- Fluency in English
