Business Project Manager

AstraZeneca Pharma Poland is seeking a Business Project Manager to drive high‑impact, cross-functional initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and enable sustainable business growth. This role will play a pivotal part in shaping how our commercial organization operates—optimizing processes, orchestrating enterprise-level projects, and ensuring strong connectivity across local, regional, and global teams.

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for solving complex challenges, simplifying ways of working, and translating strategic priorities into executable, value-creating programs. The ideal individual is highly disciplined, exceptionally organized, and able to bring structure, clarity, and strategic focus into a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Cross‑Functional Program Delivery

  • Partner with senior leaders across Poland—and potentially across the CEE/BA region—to define, prioritize, and shape a portfolio of strategic projects aligned with business priorities.

  • Lead cross-functional and multi-level project teams, ensuring alignment, clarity of direction, and timely execution of key initiatives.

  • Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to integrate best practices, leverage synergies, and contribute to broader enterprise transformation efforts.

Operational Excellence & Process Optimization

  • Champion simplification, process efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives that unlock productivity and elevate business performance. Lead change management initiatives across business and functions.

  • Engage external partners and vendors to support internal transformation initiatives, including automation and digital tooling projects.

  • Ensure all projects adhere to AstraZeneca’s quality standards, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.

Project Planning, Governance & Execution

  • Define project roadmaps, set timelines, allocate resources, and establish clear deliverables and KPIs.

  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

  • Oversee budget planning and financial tracking to support data-driven decision-making.

Performance Tracking & Senior Stakeholder Reporting

  • Provide structured reporting, insights, and milestone updates to the Senior Management Team, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.

  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation, including scope definition, implementation plans, budget justification, and execution records.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • 3–5 years of proven experience in project management, preferably within complex, matrixed, or multinational organizations.

  • Strong strategic thinking combined with the ability to operationalize concepts into actionable plans.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and a disciplined approach to planning and execution.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and meeting deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to define, monitor, and execute KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Experience working with complex tasks, business processes, and change management initiatives.
