What you will do:

  • Adopt and adapting existing management tools to help prioritise and track policy shaping activities across the area
  • Engage with multilateral organizations and promote partnership with key institutions across LATAM.
  • Assess and grow internal government affairs & policy shaping capabilities, with a particular focus on ensuring alignment between national political priorities and our therapy area-specific objectives.
  • Champion and oversee the creation of strong external relationships and partnerships with relevant stakeholders such as policymakers/advisors, patient advocacy groups, clinical experts and medical societies.
  • Represent LATAM government affairs & policy priorities in AstraZeneca’s global and international taskforces and rally the support we require in LATAM to succeed.
  • Brief and empower senior leaders to represent AstraZeneca’s therapy area-specific objectives to external partners.

Essential to the role:

  • Strategic thinker and ability to comprehend complex matters and chart a clear path forward
