P&R Specialist
Purpose of the Job
Pricing and Reimbursement preparation and execution for new products to secure accelerated market access with optimal pricing and expand reimbursement guideline, minimize price erosion or access restriction due to various cost containment measures by the government
Typical Accountabilities
Conduct activities and interactions consistent with Company values and in compliance with the Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards relevant to your role.
Complete all required training on the AZ Code of Conduct and supporting Policies and Standards on time. Report potential issues of non-compliance
Functional Capabilities (that are most critical to this position)
- Execution of pricing & reimbursement strategy for assigned brand with understanding products, markets, stakeholders and health care policy supporting P&R manager
- P&R dossier development including Health Economics/Budget Impact Analysis and deliver scientific communication/follow up on supplementary data request with HIRA and NHIS reviewers
- Price negotiation with government to minimize price reduction
- Develops HEOR studies if necessary and collaborates with cross-functional team to execute timely
- Works closely with global team (P&MA, HEOR and Pricing implementation team) to make input on Korea issue and data requirements, to get support on data generation to satisfy Korea requirements, and to get global pricing approval to proceed P&R process in Korea
- Close collaboration with cross-functional team (BU, Medical, Regulatory affairs, Government affairs, Business development, Finance) on P&R strategy development & implementation
- Pricing management to minimize price erosion by various price cut regulation (PVA, mATP etc) and to provide P&R insights on pricing erosion for business planning
- Routine P&R management (P&R update on PRICE system and to relevant cross-functional team and handle internal/external P&R queries
- Maintain industry network to be timely updated on policy changes and to participate in in industry working group for environment shaping a favorable way of AZ business
Essential Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1 - 8 years of relevant P&R oexperience
- Good understanding and interpretation of clinical, health economics and outcomes research data
- Proven experience and skill in the application of health economic/research methodologies.
- Strategic/logical thinking
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Korean
Desired skills or requirements
- MPH, MSc or PhD in relevant field
- More than 3-5 years of experience in P&R and/or HE (market access strategy development and execution, HE/BIA analysis)
- Experience managing complex projects with demanding timelines
- Good interpersonal skills and people managing experience
- An in-depth understanding of market environment and needs in payer’s perspective
