[Alexion Japan] Senior Manager, HPP Marketing Genetic & Metabolic Disorders

This is what you will do:

The Senior Manager, HPP (Hypophosphatasia) Marketing will be responsible for the development of HPP/STRENSIQ brand strategy and execution of commercial initiatives with a brand lead. This is a strategic and operational role requires strong commitment of the therapeutic area evolution through the business success with solid commercial acumen, scientific curiosity, and passion for contribution to rare disease area. S/he partners closely with internal stakeholders across Sales, Medical Affairs, and other relevant functions to accomplish these business objectives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop deep understanding of the overall therapeutic area and the market dynamics
  • Development of the brand strategy and tactical plans of HPP in alignment with global strategy, supported by the HPP Marketing Lead
  • Lead briefing of external marketing agencies to deliver high quality materials and commercial speaker events to complete each content/plan timely within allocated operational expense
  • Design and execute omni-channel promotions to optimize limited internal resources 
  • Engage thought leaders for insights, speaking engagements, and other commercial initiatives
  • Feedback/incorporate key insights from thought leaders into brand strategy planning
  • Design and conduct market research to develop the robust brand strategy
  • Closer collaborate and effectively communicate with the Sales team, Medical and Commercial Excellence to achieve goal and solid growth
  • Collaborate with the Sales Training team and support implement effective training sessions
  • Set, monitor and evaluate relevant leading and performance indicators for the brand
  • Responsibly represent Alexion in engagements with external stakeholders, adhering to compliance and code of conduct at all times
  • Embody Alexion/AstraZeneca values through daily behaviors and interactions

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or other relevant areas
  • ≥10 years in one or more of the following areas of biopharmaceutical industry: field sales, field medical, or other related roles including ≥2 years of experience in brand marketing
  • Demonstrated expertise designing and executing marketing programs
  • Track record of leading or support planning of brand strategy
  • Track record of effectively engaging and partnering with thought leaders, ideally in rare disease(s)
  • Ability to network and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Scientific acumen and comfort with clinically oriented dialogue
  • Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
  • Strong engagement, communication, and relational skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset

We would prefer for you to have:

  • Advanced degree (e.g. MBA, MS, etc.)
  • Experience in rare genetic/metabolic arena
  • Knowledge of the end-to-end rare disease business model
  • Broader commercial experience across field and non-field roles
  • Proficiency or fluency in English
