【Alexion Japan】Associate Director, Nephrology Marketing

This is what you will do:

Associate Director, Nephrology Marketing will responsible to develop and execute Japan aHUS strategy, maximize the business opportunity and deliver outstanding results. And also s/he prepare new pipelines related with nephrology disease area to develop marketing and go-to-market strategies for successful launch in Japan market.  This individual must be able to effectively engage, influence, and challenge key internal and external stakeholders to deliver data-driven experiences that effectively advance the business of aHUS and future pipelines related with nephrology. S/he reports into Director, Nephrology Marketing.

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing, being reviewed, and endorsed Japan aHUS brand plan (strategic plan and tactical plan) and future pipelines strategies by Japan and global leaders
  • Penetrating aHUS strategy in the Alexion Nephrology Sales
  • Financial planning and management for the designated indication (PEQ forecasting, OPEX)
  • Close collaboration with sales departments, commercial excellence and other key functional areas (i.e., MA, Clinical development, Regulatory, GA, Compliance, and Legal) to ensure successful execution of plans
  • Developing relationships with key opinion leaders for scientific/medical guidance and to develop external support in collaboration with Key Customer Lead and MCC
  • Leading new product launches via commercial assessment, development of launch plan and establishment / management of launch teams with new product planning
  • Engaging key customers for insights, speaking engagements, and other commercial initiatives in collaboration with Key Customer Lead and MCC

You will need to have:

  • ≥5 years of work experience of marketing in pharmaceutical business
  • Prior launch experience in rare disease and/or specialty care
  • Strategic thinking including analytic skills, problem-solving skills, planning and management skills and communication skills
  • Deep understanding of marketing discipline from strategic and operational perspectives
  • Experience in sales and/or other direct customer-facing roles in pharmaceutical business
  • Well-developed communicating skills with global team
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with and mobilize the field sales organization to achieve brand objectives
  • Ability to translate patient needs and scientific data into commercial strategy
  • Ability to guide market research projects to enable commercial decisions
  • Ability to collaborate broadly and cross-functionally
  • Intellectual curiosity and growth mindset
  • Comfort with change and ambiguity
  • Strong engagement, communication, and relational skills
  • Passion for making a positive contribution to the rare disease community
  • Fluency in Japanese, proficiency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or other relevant areas

You would prefer for you to have:

  • Experience working in rare disease
  • Prior experience and customer relationships in Nephrology
  • Fluency in English
  • Advanced degree in business and/or science (e.g. MBA, MS)
