Role Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Controlling Manager, where you will be a key player in achieving team objectives and supporting the Associate Director in Controlling. In this role, you will lead a dynamic team of 4-5 Business Analysts, overseeing month end close process, statutory reporting, working capital management and internal controls compliance.  Your expertise will be essential in driving process improvements and encouraging a culture of excellence within Global Finance Services (“GFS”). You will provide guidance to your team, contribute to their personal development, and lead or participate in special projects across GFS. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for leading and motivating team to steer them towards meeting GFS’s vision to be the engine of finance whilst adhering to global process and all relevant financial controls.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders (CFO, Cluster Financial Controllers, Local Controllers) to provide valuable financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Play a pivotal role in the organization’s digitalization journey by identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation. Drive efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
  • Build a collaborative and high-performance work environment.  Provide crucial mentoring and support for team development, ensuring continuous growth and skill improvement.

Statutory Reporting, Working Capital management and Internal Controls

  • Deliver robust and high-quality month end close financial information to stakeholders
  • Utilize financial data interpretation skills to provide timely and accurate variance analysis and insightful commentary for statutory reporting.
  • Driving team to deliver high quality forecasts to support effective working capital management.
  • Foster a strong control environment within the team, ensuring corporate governance standards are met and adherence to internal controls.
  • Collaborate with external partner to ensure timely and accurate submission of local statutory reporting to relevant authorities.

Other

  • Contribute to informed business decisions by providing financial expertise and insightful analysis for all ad hoc queries in alignment with SLA, offering valuable support to ongoing projects.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for standardization and simplification within the process area, fostering efficiency and streamlined operations.

Essential Criteria

  • You should be a qualified finance professional or equivalent, with at least 8+ years Accounting and Controlling experience.
  • Experience of Controlling/General Accounting/Audit or Tax/Treasury work is required.
  • You have team supervisory and people management experience
  • English language proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management.
  • Experience of organisational change and building engagement
  • Sound understanding of the finance processes in the scope of GFS.
