Continuous Process Improvement (Finance) - Intern

Global Finance Services (GFS) is the heart of the AZ Finance function. We are accountable for the design and delivery of high quality, simple to operate transactional finance processes which, combined with outstanding business analysis and insight, enables our customers to focus on AZ’s strategic priorities.
Our remit covers record to report, procure to pay and order to cash, tax, planning & forecasting and management reporting, to customers across AZ Globally in Commercial, Science, Operations & Enabling Functions, Tax, Treasury and Group Finance. We are continuing our transformation journey with the objective of delivering excellence in financial operations.
The aim of this internship is to develop students’ interest and proficiency in the field of process improvement, productivity improvement, Lean culture, and engagement activities in Finance transactional and analytical environment.
The selected students will have high chance to participate in elementary level Lean and Kaizen skills development programme.
Responsibilities:
- Support to synthesize existing data and develop suitable reports and visual dashboard for employees’ Lean experience profile, reports for productivity improvement projects at Finance processes and reports for Global Lean team productivity improvement activities.
- Support in planning and execute logistics and technical preparation tasks for Lean programme employees’ engagement events and process problem-solving workshops.
- Support to coordinate activities focusing on employees’ capability development activities in process improvement and process problem solving.
- Support in productivity projects data organization and data analysis, with guidance from project leads
- Develop, design, and communicate communication content or report for GFS KL Lean programme’s pre-event progress and post-event outcome.
Essential Requirements:
- You should be studying Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Analytics or Finance
- Have some level of proficiency in using Desktop automation tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
- Preferably minimum of internship period of 12 weeks or more.
- You are proficient and able to communicate effectively (verbal and written) in English.
