■ 職務内容 / Job Description

A leadership role responsible for providing direction and management of the Medical Excellence and Customer Service team. The primary focus of Medical Excellence is to lead capability development, performance management and process standardization of the Medical department and to measure and communicate the value of the Medical department to internal and external stakeholders. Customer Service enhances AZ product value through providing high quality medical information by harnessing multiple channels and technologies. The role is also responsible for driving digital transformation and initiating innovative way of working in Medical department collaborating with internal and external partners.
This leader is responsible for people management and development and creating a high performing team. Proactively demonstrate the AZ Values.
The Medical Excellence Director will report directly to the VP, Medical Japan and oversee team of medical excellence and Customer Service personnel. This role has a seat at Medical Leadership Team and is expected to contribute to the team for the overall success of the Medical department across all functions and roles.

• Strengthen medical capabilities across TA and non-TA Medical thorough identifying key capability gaps, providing training programs and measuring outcomes
• Drive performance management in Medical dept, identifying key indicator, tracking progress and measuringimpact and providing analytical report
• Collect benchmark data for medical activity, competitive intelligence of the industry and make an analysis to capture the latest business situation
• Build strong Medical platform/system/tool and digital solution to drive efficiency and improve productivity of Medical dept.
• Ensure industry leading Medical Information Center (Customer Service) with harnessing innovative multi-channels to provide quality medical information to internal/external customer efficiently
• Establish and implement policies, procedures and standards for Medical related works, ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations
• Manage AZ MSL certification program and Medical on-boarding/continuing education procedure
• Manage Japan Medical Affairs Plan (jMAP) planning and operation cycle
• Support business (budget) planning in Medical closely working with Fin BP and develop resource assumption model
• Leading projects that impact cross-TA and cross-functional departments within Medical
• Act as point contact of Medical dept. for cross-functional collaboration within AZKK, making alignment with other department representatives (BU, R&D, ComEx etc.)
• Active participation in global working group (e.g. Global Medical Excellence team)
• Contributing as a member of Medical Leadership Team

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical industry incl. functions outside medical, e.g. marketing, commercial roles or financial
• Experience managing direct reports
• Experience participating in global working groups roles

• Experience in leading Field Medical team
• Experience in other role(s) within Medical
• Experience leading a global project

• Bachelor’s Degree
