The AstraZeneca Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life changing oral solid medicines. At the site we formulate and pack OSD tablets and capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is complex, the largest AZ production site in the US with over 700+ employees.  We are located in the southwest corner of the state of Indiana, approximately 15 miles from Evansville, Indiana – the third largest city in the state.  The Mt. Are you ready to take the lead in coordinating activities across departments and contribute to site-wide strategy? As the Sr. Manager for Critical Utilities & Metrology, you will be a key player in driving cross-functional initiatives and setting the strategy for the Metrology and Critical Utilities organization. 

Accountabilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring assets are operating and maintained, coordinating the content and proper execution of procedures, PMs, and work orders. You will supervise a team of professionals including Sr. Metrology & Critical Utilities Process Facilitator, Maintenance Planning Analyst, Senior Utilities Engineer, and Critical Utilities / Metrology Engineering technician. You will also be the business owner and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the site calibration program. Your role will involve participating in cross-functional teams to support business needs and ensuring product quality while maintaining the highest standards in compliance with company policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline.
- 5 years production maintenance management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams.
- Excellent written and oral communication and time management skills.
- Strong working knowledge of instrumentation and related GMP requirements in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP PM.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Advanced degree.
- +5 years experience in a facilities management and/or plant maintenance, including reliability based maintenance planning and analysis.
- 10 years experience in project management, SAP focus.
- Ability to analyze business requirements and implement process-oriented solutions.
- A good working knowledge of controls systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA, etc.)
