Position Title: Senior Marketing Manager - Future Portfolio, Lung/IO

Position Type: Regular, full-time

Do you seek opportunities to build forward-looking plans to launch new products? Are you passionate about Oncology?

Reporting to the Director Marketing – Lung/IO, you lead the commercial strategic and tactical management for Oncology products in pre-launch development. While primarily focused on the Lung/IO Franchise, your work and focus may shift depending on the success of our research and the workload of the Future Portfolio roles within Oncology. In the short-mid term, opportunities with IMFINZI include Small Cell Lung Cancer, Bladder Cancer, metastatic Non-Small Cell Cancer, Hepatic Cell Carcinoma and Head & Neck Cancer. Your work will include:

  • Building cross-functional relationships and leading teams to develop, design and execute pre-launch and launch commercialization plans with Medical, Regulatory and Market Access & Pricing colleagues and associated customers/influencers
  • Providing input to the AstraZeneca Global Marketing organization for long-term product/portfolio success and insights for the Canadian market are included in global development plans
  • Building and maintaining a network of customer/Key External Experts sand AstraZeneca US/EU/Global colleagues to improve insights and ongoing pre-launch planning input
  • Objectively assessing New Molecular Entities and Lifecycle Management opportunities, building short- and long-term forecasts and monitoring inventory levels for assigned areas
  • Understanding and providing insight into portfolio planning, capability building, and product resourcing across the future Oncology pipeline
  • Developing and leading the Canadian commercial activities of the global Lung Ambition Alliance (
  • With Medical team, creating a Canadian Lung Cancer Screening committee with external experts that work towards advancing the goal of doubling 5-year survival in Lung Cancer.

Your qualifications include:

  • University degree or equivalent in science and/or business

  • Your experience includes a well-developed scope and depth of marketing, minimum of 3 years product management experience, with experience commercializing oncology or speciality products and at least 1-year of Emerging Brand marketing (2 to 5 years pre-launch)
  • You seek to build partnerships with multiple external influencers to find new ways to make a meaningful difference in patient lives
  • You are a strong strategic thinker, have portfolio planning experience and strong communication and presentation skills
  • You have a successful history of cross-functional team leadership with well-developed understanding of regulatory and payer environments with experience facilitating access and an understanding of patient service/support programs
  • You have experience working internally and externally to accomplish cross-boundary work including creating shared purpose with goals and priorities. You can effectively coach, mentor, and guide teams and individuals who do not report directly to you

  • You can travel (5-15%) within Canada and globally
