Regional ATTR Sales Specialist (Ontario)

Reporting to the Commercial Director (WAINUA), as the Regional ATTR (Transthyretin-mediated Amyloidosis) Sales Specialist for Ontario, you will help build and accelerate the development of the AstraZeneca WAINUA franchise, drive results, and improve the lives of patients living with ATTR.
The WAINUA Commercial Field Team at AstraZeneca is dedicated to serving patients living with the debilitating effects of amyloidosis. In an innovative, dynamic, and competitive market, you will play a critical role in redefining the way amyloidosis is treated. You will uncover insights that help the cross-functional team to accelerate and simplify the journey for patients with amyloidosis and deliver value so that centres of excellence view AstraZeneca as a trusted partner in disease management.
In this role, you will:
Build strategic account plans for targeted healthcare professionals (HCPs), rooted in deep market insights (including future trends that impact the brand) and mapping of patient pathways, to drive sales performance and exceed expectations while you creatively work within assigned budgets.
Map regional account HCP influencers and coordinate alignment of tactical plans across accounts.
Lead regional efforts to ensure guideline-directed care, communicating the scientific and clinical benefits of WAINUA to HCPs using an omnichannel approach including face-to-face, digital, and virtual engagements.
Develop deep HCP relationships (e.g., accounts, specialists, allied health, multi-disciplinary teams, etc.) by analyzing barriers, considering options, and innovating with the cross-functional team to find solutions to optimize care for patients with ATTR.
Organize ATTR speaker programs with K Key External Experts (KEEs), working with the broader cross-functional team, to deliver value to Healthcare Professionals (HCPs).
Foster cross-company coordination (e.g., Biopharma Business Unit and Alexion) to drive integrated customer engagements.
Work aligned to all external regulations and internal policies and training requirements.
Collect and report Adverse Events in accordance with AstraZeneca policies and procedures.
Your education, qualifications, skills, and experience:
University degree of equivalent in Science and/or Business
5-10 years of pharmaceutical specialty sales experience and strategic account working, with a track record of success in a competitive market
Sales experience in cardiology, neurology, amyloidosis, or rare disease is a strong asset
Launch experience preferred
Experience engaging with and analyzing insights from external customers, prioritizing areas of opportunity and delivering agile solutions to improve executional excellence
Collaborative teammate with a strong ability to inspire, lead without authority and engage a diverse cross-functional team to achieve goals within the broader ATTR ecosystem and centres of excellence
Ability to positively impact and influence others and quickly establish credibility while building strong business partnerships
Strong project management skills and an ability to find solutions to complex problems
Strong communication and listening skills that allow you to easily identify the needs of specific key accounts and then align the value proposition of our brand to meet those needs
Agile learner with a growth mindset who is comfortable operating in dynamic and complex environments
Strong technical and digital capabilities to maximize an omnichannel approach to engage customers in non-traditional ways
Valid driver’s license; willingness to travel with overnight stays up to 25% of the time
