Quality Assurance/Patient Safety Summer Student

This role is a 4-month paid contract position, which starts in May 2025 and will end in August 2025. Our position will be based in our Mississauga head office and allow for flexible working arrangements working both onsite (3 times per week) and virtually.

Quality Assurance & Patient Safety
Responsibilities:
- Develop knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP)
- Support the Quality Assurance Specialists in the management of quality systems such as product quality complaint management, batch disposition and change control with strict adherence to GMPs
- Develop capabilities to provide assistance on various projects such as product launches and other initiatives
- Manage and be accountable for specific tasks within a Quality System or Systems
- Work with the Patient Safety team to assist with internal and external audits and inspections preparation.
- Complete all required training on the AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, Adverse Event reporting and supporting Policies and Standards on time.
- Conduct activities and interactions consistent with Company values and in compliance with the Code of Ethics and supporting Policies and Standards relevant to this role.
- Additional tasks and development projects as assigned by Patient Safety team.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd-year student in a relevant undergraduate degree program (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering).
- Completed coursework in relevant subjects (e.g., Organic Chemistry)
- Proficiency in specific technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the co-op term
