Procurement Summer Student

Procurement
Responsibilities:
- This summer student position will focus on procurement methodology, processes and tools that support the Canada Procurement department to manage requirements from business stakeholders.
- The summer intern will refine data analytic skills, learn end-to-end Source to Pay (S2P) processes & tools and contribute to the delivery of key procurement activities.
- The summer student will be exposed to existing Procurement & Finance systems and will have the opportunity to support the Canada Procurement team in delivering value (i.e. cost savings) and simplification across current processes.
Key Activities will include:
- Work with Procurement and Finance to support Procurement simplification and sustainability initiatives
- Data gathering & analysis for key spend/suppliers in preparation for upcoming contract negotiations (including benchmarking/rate analysis)
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd-year student in a relevant undergraduate degree program (e.g., Finance, Procurement, Business Administration).
- Proficiency in specific technical skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, PowerBI).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration abilities.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Availability to work full-time for the duration of the co-op term
