This is what you will do:

The Organisation Effectiveness (OE) Consulting Lead will play a key role in delivering on our mission to push the boundaries of science to deliver life-changing medicines. You will partner with business and HR leaders leadership to translate business strategy into organization strategy and actions, and drive these by rigorously assessing all aspects of our current state and operating model, and developing and implementing plans to drive value at all levels of the organization. As an OE Consultant, you will work to identify medium and long term organizational needs through deep business understanding coupled with an outside-in perspective.

This position will report directly into the Organisation Effectiveness Practice Director and will support high-impact, high-visibility projects that will drive our competitive advantage.

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with the HR business partners and AstraZeneca leaders, identify high value OD/OE opportunities to drive enterprise success including analysis of business specific data to influence the creation of strategy
  • Driving strategic capability effectiveness
  • Outside-in view of AstraZeneca organisation- bringing external insights and industry trends to enhance the organization
  • Ability to see and build linkages between and across the organisation– looking at work from a future output perspective rather than functional lines and designing work for the future needs rather than current structure
  • Bring design thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills to issue identification and analysis to approach solutions in a user-centered, prototype-driven manner
  • Addresses enterprise-wide strategy, organization, and people issues and initiatives with a broad set of global stakeholders
  • Examples of work:
  • Top Team Effectiveness design and facilitation with senior leaders
  • Assessing, designing and leading large scale transformation initiatives to drive business success
  • Organisation structure and operating model design to drive better performance and enhance employee experience
  • Integration of new acquisitions

You will need to have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience driving organisational change through either direct roles or consulting experience
  • Experience of working in an in, multinational, multicultural and highly matrixed environment
  • Experience with autonomous project management
  • Can comfortably handle multiple and changing priorities
  • High sense of ethics, integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
  • High learning agility with natural ability to adapt to changing conditions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a track record of effectiveness as a team leader, player and project team member who gets results
  • Prepared to work in a challenging and busy environment
  • Ability to conduct complex organizational analysis to identify OD/OE intervention needs
  • Enterprise perspective
  • Ability to integrate across business, functions and HR practices
  • Mentor and coach HR and business leaders on organisationchallenges
  • Seasoned HR/OE professionals with broad organisationand leadership Effectiveness knowledge and experience, and strategic perspectives
  • Significant consulting skills to be able to design an engagement, rapidly align on problem statement, recommend / implement courses of action, coach and counsel, and facilitate end of engagement through appropriate knowledge transfer/capability building
  • Global mindset

  • Able to influence key stakeholders and maintain aplomb with senior leader

We would prefer for you to have:

Bachelor’s Degree Required, advanced degree and/or professional certifications preferred

MBA or Master’s in organisationEffectiveness or behavior or equivalent experience (i.e. BS with 8 – 12 years of OD experience)
