Introduction to role:

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the world of oncology exhibitions? As the Manager, Oncology Exhibitions, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting AstraZeneca's Exhibitions team by implementing our oncology exhibit booth program. Your focus will be on delivering Tier 2 congress booths, ensuring seamless production tasks, vendor coordination, and on-site execution. This hands-on position requires aligning with AstraZeneca’s brand and sustainability requirements while delivering exceptional booth experiences.

Accountabilities:

Booth Delivery & Production

Take charge of production and execution for Tier 2 oncology congress exhibit booths. You'll coordinate directly with vendors, the lead agency, and internal teams to handle timelines, ensure booth assets and materials are ready and shipped, and prepare the exhibit booth onsite for congress attendees.

Project Coordination

Assist the Senior Manager with documentation, scheduling, and status reporting for assigned congresses. Proactively address delivery issues and implement detailed production plans while troubleshooting on-site for smooth booth setup and breakdown.

On-site Presence

Travel to domestic (and some international) Tier 2 congress sites to supervise booth installation, roll-out, staff briefing, and tear-down. Represent AstraZeneca on the ground, ensuring professional production standards and resolving issues as they arise.

Vendor Management

Engage hands-on with exhibit vendors and agency partners to coordinate orders, deliveries, and build/installation requirements. Ensure all parties are clear on AstraZeneca expectations, timelines, and standards for booth production.

Financial Administration

Support financial processes such as processing invoices, tracking expenses, and ensuring all booth production and delivery stays within allocated budgets for Tier 2 congresses.

Sustainability & Compliance

Under the guidance of the Senior Manager, help implement AstraZeneca’s sustainability and compliance standards at Tier 2 booths. Report outcomes and raise any concerns.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in event, exhibition, or booth production and management (healthcare or similar industry preferred).

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with a proven track record in production and vendor coordination.

  • Comfortable with frequent travel (up to 50%); adept at on-site problem solving and hands-on work.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to represent AZ professionally during events.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

Budget and invoice administration experience preferred.

Aptitude for teamwork, collaboration, and following established processes.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
