Manager, Business Systems & Solutions Support
Introduction to role
The Manager, Business Systems & Solutions Support will lead the support and enhancement of our Veeva CRM system and other sales tools. This role involves coordinating Veeva CRM support and operations and working closely with the Director and Associate Director, Business Systems & Field Excellence to manage system enhancements, ensuring the platform meets business needs effectively. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in CRM systems (Veeva or Salesforce.com) and demonstrated abilities to drive exceptional support and systems enhancements.
The position involves interacting with various processes and collaborators and will be accountable for generating value for the Sales team in Veeva CRM. The position is dynamic, highly collaborative, and will play a critical role in setting the organization up for future success. The role sits within Business Operations and Commercial Effectiveness (BOCE) in the US Commercial organization.
Accountabilities
Leading and facilitating the resolution of Veeva system issues in coordination with IT, ensuring user issues are resolved, users are communicated to, and user feedback is captured for future improvements
Co-managing systems capability enhancements for meaningful Veeva enhancements, which enable field teams to achieve their objectives while reducing work in the system
Support post-implementation activities, including troubleshooting and system optimization
Create and manage CRM documentation and SOPs: ensuring that documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and maintained
Working closely with the Systems Training Team to help them develop training programs to ensure the CRM system is utilized effectively
Presenting new functionality and processes/tools to stakeholders
Managing vendor relationships and investigating new system enhancements to continuously improve and optimize the use of existing platforms
Staying informed about emerging technologies relevant to Veeva CRM, PromMats, Align, and Veeva Link
Essential Skills/Experience
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years experience in supporting, implementing, managing, and enhancing a CRM or enterprise business platform such as Veeva or Salesforce.com
Shown capability in effectively partnering with and supervising multi-functional teams, adeptly navigating between Business and IT customers
Advanced Excel or equivalent software skills for data analysis
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact systems enhancements
Excellent presentation and communication skills with ability to interact with cross-functional stakeholders, including advanced PowerPoint skills
Vendor management experience including offshore
Desirable Skills/Experience
Consulting experience in strategy, management, or IT
Veeva certification or Salesforce admin certification
Veeva Vault/PromoMATs experience
Experience in Life sciences/Pharma/Biotech/Healthcare industry
Vendor management experience
Experience working in JIRA or similar project management tools
