As an Ethics Manager (Nominated Signatory), you will be instrumental in ensuring ethical and compliant practices within our Oncology business unit. Your role will involve reviewing and approving materials, guiding SOP development, delivering training, and advising on interactions with healthcare professionals. You will ensure our activities consistently align with what we value, regulatory requirements, and global ethical standards. Are you up for the challenge?
Accountabilities:
Your roles and responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, Privacy, Regulatory, and other cross-functional partners to interpret company policies on sophisticated ethics and compliance matters, ensuring alignment with Canadian regulations and guidelines.
• Advise on Commercial and Medical projects, from digital initiatives to SOP updates, strengthening internal processes and enabling flawless customer-facing interactions.
• Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials as the Local Nominated Signatory for the Oncology business unit, ensuring compliance with internal policies, Health Canada’s Distinction Document, the Food and Drugs Regulations (FDR), PAAB guidelines, and other applicable codes and standards.
• Enable knowledge sharing with local Marketing Company teams to optimize brand messages within regulatory and ethical frameworks.
• Champion best practices by sharing successes, supporting issue resolution, and serving as a role model for ethical and professional behaviour.
• Deliver training and communication on SOPs and ethical standards, as needed, to build compliance awareness across teams.
• Guide the Fair Market Value team to ensure consistent application of policies and best practices.
• Conduct Medical Affairs First Line Monitoring and support the implementation of audit action plans, risk assessments, and other ethics and compliance initiatives.
Crucial Skills/Experience:
• Demonstrates high ethical standards with good judgment, a strong grasp of ethical decision-making processes, and the ability to anticipate risks and share best practices.
• Brings a strong compliance approach with the confidence to be assertive, the ability to challenge the business, and the interpersonal skills to influence decisions constructively.
• Operates with independence, accountability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions.
• Knowledge of Veeva CRM knowledge an asset
Desirable Skills/Experience:
• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical / Medtech/ Consulting industry, preferably in Regulatory, Compliance, Quality Assurance, or Medical Affairs.
• Strong understanding of Canadian pharmaceutical regulations, including the Food and Drugs Regulations (FDR), PAAB guidelines, the IMC Code, Health Canada requirements, and other applicable standards.
• Knowledge and experience in corporate governance principles and practices.
