We're looking for Director, R&D IT - E2E R&D Business Analysis, who can operate strategically at an enterprise level on large scale business change with high levels complexity and risk. Accountabilities:

As a Director, R&D IT - E2E R&D Business Analysis, you will partner with the Business Partner and Senior Programme Manager, taking responsibility to deliver high quality use cases, business process designs/maps and ensure that proposed solutions meet established AstraZeneca quality and compliance standards and business solution needs. You will determine the process and requirements management methodology practices within their function, ensuring that the methodology, quality and compliance standards are adhered to. You will also mentor other Business Analysts to develop their skills and share standard methodologies in relevant communities of practice.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Technical, Science of Business degree or equivalent years of experience

- Pharmaceutical Experience/understanding of the Precision Medicine and Human Biological Samples and Biobanking business domain

- Minimum 10+ years business analysis experience working with complex integrated systems (COTS configuration/customisation and in-house bespoke developed solutions)

- Understanding scientific data and how to manage and utilize it to maximize its value

- Demonstrable experience of successfully deploying a variety of business analysis tools/techniques to enable business change

- Strong engagement, communication and collaborator management skills across stakeholders in both Science and IT in a global organisation with complex/geographical context

- Accomplished at virtual collaboration with global matrixed teams to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions

- Experience of leading large scale analysis plans as well as mentoring, coaching or developing other Business Analysts

- Experience of working in a regulated environment and to GxP validation standards  

- Experience of working with third party suppliers/vendors

- Experience of managing high levels of risk by making complex judgements, developing innovative solutions and applying a comprehensive multi-functional and industry understanding.

- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

- Practical usage of Agile Methodology and tools (for example, JIRA)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Formal certification in business analysis practice

- Lean SIGMA training

- Experience of data modelling and large scale data migration

- User Centred Design (User Experience, User Interface Design and Business Process Design) Cross industry business awareness/business domain knowledge.
