Job Description:
This role will focus on providing high level PA support to Haematology Clinical Development leaders and teams based globally. We are looking for an enthusiastic, driven and flexible individual with experience of working at senior level in a fast-paced, complex, global environment.
Responsibilities:
- Proactive calendar management, identifying and resolving conflicts
- Coordinate complex travel, congress registration, other meetings, and off-site events in different time zones, in line with AZ policy
- Work collaboratively with global colleagues to deliver a lean, consistent and professional global support service, including knowledge sharing and training within the Haem BPO & Admin network.
- Be an expert in using technology to efficiently complete tasks and propose technology-based solutions
- Manage and create Purchase Orders. Experience using Coupa is preferred.
- Lead or support special projects focused on operational excellence, communications, or business improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to high‑quality presentations, reports, briefing materials, and documents under tight timelines, often from incomplete or draft inputs.
- Plan, organize, and schedule own workload, so that all activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Event and Engagement Management: meetings, town halls, team-building activities, and leadership visits/fireside chats; manage venues, catering, AV/IT support, and day-of execution.
- Coordinate global onboarding for new starters and return/retrieval of equipment for leavers.
- As a member of the administrative support community, provide back‑up support, knowledge sharing, and contribute to the development of best practices and standard ways of working.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience in the PA arena
- Excellent technical skills, proficient in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, MS-Teams and SharePoint Online
- Entrepreneurial thinking with respect to use of future technologies
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English skills
- Experience and confidence using virtual meeting technologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks/assignments simultaneously and effectively
- Strong customer service skills
- A high degree of personal credibility when interfacing with organizations internal and external to AZ
- A strong self-starter
Preferred Experience:
- Experience of working in a pharma or healthcare environment

Annual base salary for this position ranges from 72,652.00 to 95,355.75.AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs. In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.
In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role). Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
