Reporting into the Director, Insight Analytics and Forecasting, you will be an integral partner to our cross-functional brand teams and the BioPharmaceuticals business unit (BBU) supporting the biologic resp brands, immunology and CVRM (subject to change). You will work closely with other therapeutic area Insight Manager(s) and the Senior Forecasting managers to deliver the insights, analytics and reporting needs of the business unit.

Through these experiences, you can deepen your abilities through modern techniques applied to wide-range of data including sales and prescription, customer engagement & profiling, marketing, and patient data.

You will have responsibility for:

  • Brand & Customer Analytics:
    • Identification & Prioritization of Opportunities: Actively analyze sales and promotion performance across brand, customer, & competitor data, providing guidance, recommendations, and actionable insights to brand teams, sales and business unit leadership
    • Support design of data-driven methodologies and partner, as vital, on analysis across branded OMNI experiences and digital engagement strategies
    • Customer Segmentation & Profiling
  • Portfolio Planning:
    • Communicate and influence strategic feedback into portfolio planning and optimization of resources across the portfolio, including creative simulations for various scenarios
  • Sales Force Effectiveness & Incentive Support:
    • Optimize Sales Force Design & Territory Alignments
    • Manage development of customer segmentation and patient share models (if applicable) to generate inputs for sales targeting strategies and execution plans
    • Facilitate the annual sales quota setting process, in collaboration with the forecasting team
    • Manage the annual Customer Targeting and call plan refinement process
    • Support design & tracking of Sales Incentive Plans and Kickers
  • Deliver monthly reports, ad-hoc analysis and recommendations for all products in business portfolio
  • Raise the level of data literacy amongst sales teams and gain user adoption of BI tools through ongoing collaboration with relevant partners, understanding business needs, effective use of the available data, and user-friendly reporting/dashboarding design.
  • KPIs and Reporting:
    • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Insights, & Forecasting to generate insights, refine strategy, align on key performance indicators, measure execution of therapeutic area strategy against those KPIs, and review with brand and sales leadership
    • Design & Deliver monthly reports / dashboards
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Change Leadership:
    • Ability to lead change and adoption through business strategies and process transformations
    • Drive implementation of advanced analytic models and outputs to enhance customer engagement effectiveness and business outcomes
    • Partner with other cross-functional teams, including the Data Capabilities, Advanced Analytics, and IT, to design and implement new business capabilities

Your qualifications include:

  • 4+ years pharmaceutical experience (preferred) and / or University degree or equivalent experience in science and/or business (Pharmaceutical sales experience is an asset)
  • Knowledge and experience within BioPharmaceuticals, with intimate understanding and working knowledge of IQVIA & Patient Support Program data sets an asset
  • Strong analytical mind-set and proven ability with analytics, expertise with Excel, familiarity with SQL and/or Python/R is an asset, experience with business intelligence solutions (e.g. Power BI, MicroStrategy, and/or Tableau), specifically MS Power Platform
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, including proficiency with MS PowerPoint or similar
  • Persuasive strategic thinking and planning ability to create business value through insight generation, dashboard/report development and ad-hoc analysis
  • Passionate relationships-builder including successful track record of collaboration and partnership

Annual base salary for this position ranges from $115,693 to $151,847.85 AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. Our compensation policies and practices have been designed to allow colleagues to progress through the salary range over time as they progress in their role. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances.

In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days. Fixed Term Contract/Temporary positions (excluding students) are offered a Contract Benefits Program.
